Azalea Complex, Chapter 2

Once upon a time, there was a mad scientist who lived in a small castle.

She worked all the time to make a potion to make her REAL, not imaginary, friend not invisible to everyone else anymore.

She had a handsome older brother, and a pretty twin sister, but both were lazy,

and she had a doggy, and a mommy who loved her very much.

But the most important thing to the mad scientest, was to make her imaginary friend real.

But the mad scientist's mommy doesn't think that her friend is real. The mad scientist didn't talk about her friend in front of her mommy anymore, so that she wouldn't get in trouble.

Did I mention that the mad scientist is also a princess? Well, she is. And her sister is a mean princess.

"What did she do?" Geoffrey asked. He was standing near the chemistry set, so that if Mommy came in, I could just say that I was looking at it.

I laughed quietly at Geoffrey's expression. I knew if I was too loud, and Mommy heard me, that she'd keep true on her promise.

"Quiet, Geoffrey," I whispered, "I was getting there!"

The mad scientist princess's mean twin sister told their mommy that the mad scientist was talking to her 'imaginary' friend.

Their mommy was worried, because the mad scientist princess was a teenager, and they think that being a teenager with an 'imaginary' friend is weird.

So the mommy grounded the mad scientist princess from using her chemistry set, and told her that if she kept talking to her 'imaginary' friend, that she'd send the mad scientist princess to boarding school!

Geoffrey gasped in shock just as Mommy knocked on the door.

"Azalea," Mommy said from the other side of the door, "Go to bed. Iris is just finishing up her homework and then she'll be coming."

"Okay Momma," I said. I quickly tucked myself into the covers of my bed. I hoped that Iris would think I'm asleep and go to bed without bothering me.

"G'night," I called to Geoffrey, knowing that Mommy would just assume I was saying g'night to her. Then I fell asleep.

For a long time, I still wasn't allowed to use my chemistry set, and I couldn't talk or play with Geoffrey when other people were home.

I was happy that we had gotten Cerebus, 'cause I usually play with her. Except, we found out that she's a he. Oak jokes that he's happy that there's another guy in the house.

Even when Mommy let me use the Chemistry set, I would sometimes just play with Cerebus when I couldn't figure out the potion. That's when I heard Mommy and Iris arguing in the front.

Turns out, Iris cut her hair! Mommy asked Iris why she would cut all of her pretty hair off.

"Because I wanted to," Iris said in a mean voice. Iris is a meany!

I heard Mommy sigh loudly, "Fine," she said, "Do whatever you want. Just...be careful."

I didn't want them to know I had heard them, 'cause I felt like a spy and spies don't just let anyone know when they're being spied! So yeah, I ran back to my room and quickly changed into my mad scientist costume.

I got to work finding the magic potion, and even found a few! None of them were what I needed, though.

Whenever I messed up and got burned, Geoffrey would make me laugh and forget how angry I was.

I don't care what anyone says, Geoffrey's the best!

  1. Why is everyone mean to Azalea about Geoffrey. I don't like Iris and Oak dosen'y look as good here as he did in the photo you put up on FB.

  2. Iris is just mean. I don't know why I make her so mean, but she's just mean. Oak...well, he's not particularly MEAN to here...It's more like he just ignores her. And the picture of Oak in this blog post was sort of hideous, but it was the best non-CAS that I had of him. About Bay...she's just worried that Azalea is insane, and is hoping that if she keeps punishing her, than Geoffrey will go away.
