Azalea Complex, Chapter 1

"Azzie, I know you're excited but you need to calm down!" Geoffrey said as I waited ipatiently for my turn to hop.

I can't not be excited though! Tonight is the night we're leaving Sunset Valley! Most kids wouldn't be happy about moving, but I couldn't wait. Appaloosa Plains--where we're moving--has a bunch of animals, like horses and doggies and cats, and I love animals!! I checked it out online, after Mommy told us we had to move, and it has the best pet parks and even an Equestrian Center! That's where you can buy horses and race them and even make money, if you're good enough! How cool is that?!

The best part is that we're getting to Appaloosa Plains just in time to have some fun and then celebrate our birthdays! All four of us are growing up, Me and Iris, and Geoffrey, and Iris's imaginary friend, Miles.

After I finished with the game of Hop Scotch, I asked Geoffrey if he'd go clean up the house a bit before we left. I was supposed t' do that last night, but I had to sleep so I wouldn't be tired today or tomorrow!

While he cleaned up, I played with our doggy, Cerebus. Cerebus is a funny doggy, she freaks out at us sometimes, but Momma says that when we're closer with her, she'll love us a lot. Cerebus is supposed to be a mix of lots of breeds, but Mommy sais that one of her breeds is super loyal, so she thinks that Cerebus will be loyal to us.

Ya may be wondering, why do we have to leave right before our birthday? Well, I heard Mommy talking about it, and it turns out that the creepy guy who took me and taken Mommy too, and he was super creepy, and apparently he tried to do bad things to Mommy!! And the police still haven't caught the guy, so Mommy said we need to move.

Plus, I heard her grumbling that she doesn't want my good-for-nothing Daddy coming around and trying to get custody of us when we're teens.

"Kids," Mom called, "It's time to pack the van and go!"

Hours later, we got to the house! It's so pretty, isn't it? Mommy says that it was designed to look like a one-story castle mixed with a log cabin. She didn't seem to like it, but she said it was the best house she could find. I totally love it though, it's super pretty with it's stone and wood and everything!

The house has a bigger kitchen than our old one did, and a living area that Mommy said was perfect.
It came with a cheap TV but Mommy got this one to replace it for Iris. All Iris wanted was a good TV and a gaming system for her birthday.
Mommy got a huge pet bed for Cerebus, and a costume chest and lots of toys for her day care kids. She was worried that we might be hurt that she got all this stuff for her daycare kids, but that we didn't get as much stuff, but we told her that we didn't care.
It's not like all the stuff was new, anyway. The toybox was our old one, and some of the toddler toys belonged to me and Iris too.

Plus, we could use the slip'n'slide all we wanted!!

There wasn't a lot of stuff in Momma's room, she just bought herself a bed like the one she used to have.

Oak's room was pretty empty too. He didn't really care, 'cause he said he was gonna move out when he grew up anyway. He only wanted a few posters, but he put them on the other wall instead of the one behind his bed so he could see them.

I got a chemistry table for my birthday. I heard that there was a potion that would let me make Geoffrey 'real'!! I still think he's real, but I don't tell Mommy that anymore 'cause she thinks we're getting too old. Anyway, I have lots of awesome posters and even a horsie calender on my side of the room!

Iris has lots of stupid girly things on her side. I asked her to keep her posters closer to her bed, 'cause I don't wanna roll over and see that stupid music guy close to my face. She rolled her eyes, but in the end she agreed, so I guess I won!

The back yard was my favorite part, although I couldn't use most of this stuff when I got older anyway. Mommy told us to go play as much as we could before we got too old for the children's stuff, and o'course we did!

I pretended that the bull was actually a horse and that I was practicing for when I got my horsie. Mommy knew I wanted one, but wouldn't get me a horsie for my birthday. That was alright though, 'cause the most important thing to do when I grow up is make Geoffrey real!

I started wondering if the slip'n'slide was a good idea, when I took my turn on it. I kept slipping in the wrong way and it hurt!

Geoffrey was watching, so when I stopped and dried off with a towel, he hugged me.

Then I brushed Cerebus, 'cause she was getting dirty. I love Cerebus, she's fluffy and adorable!! I can't wait to be best friends with her!

I got in a princess costume later on and played in the sand, which was super fun, but then Iris came out in a dino costume and I was afraid she would crush my castle, so I decided to play pretend instead.

Geoffrey said I looked like a real princess! I don't want to be a princess though, I want to have horsies and take care of them as my job!

Meanwhile, my sister's over there pretending to be a dinosaur. She's funny! Geoffrey was at the other side of the slip'n'slide, scared to death. Silly Geoffrey thought she was really a dino!

Then it was time for our birthdays. I wished for a horsie, and for Geoffrey to be real.

Have I ever told you how much I love pink? Well, I do. Momma thinks it's funny. Iris snorted when she saw the outfit I picked out, she said I looked like a little kid, but I didn't care. I heard her commenting to Oak later on that it's better than me pretending to be a cowboy.

It didn't matter what she thought though, 'cause Geoffrey thought my outfit was adorable.

Then it was time for Geoffrey's birthday.

Geoffrey and I share a birthday, how cool is that?!

  1. I love where this is going. I HATE Iris. I think she is jealous of her sisters Innocence.

  2. I'm glad you like it!! This generation is obviously going to be a lot lighter than the previous but hopefully it's still enjoyable! Thanks for the comment!
