Azalea Complex, Chapter 7
Once upon a time, a young King and Queen had a little prince. The Queen wanted a little princess though, so they did something very special to make it happen.
Then the King and Queen went to sleep in their bunk beds.
They didn't know that, outside their window, the foal that the Queen had adopted when she was pregnant with the prince was growing into a big horse!
The queen loved her animals as much as she loved her little baby.
...and as much as she would love her little Princess.
The Queen decided that she wanted to adopt another animal, because you could never have too many cuddly little animals!
They adopted a little kitten named Demeter! That made the Queen's household huge, with her Momma, the King, the Queen, their prince, their horsie, Athena, their doggy, Cerebus, and now Demeter!
The queen loved to talk to her little kitty whenever she could.
The queen loved to play with her little boy, too. They would spend some nights out in the fenced in backyard. That part of the back yard had lots of fun things to do for any kid in the house!
The Queen was super good at taking care of the animals, too. They would never go unhappy, as long as the Queen could help them or have someone help them!
Then, right before the Queen was gonna go to bed, she felt the baby try to come out!
She named her baby Primrose, 'cause it's a pretty name. The baby was a cute little girl with the Queen's red hair, and the King's green eyes, and tan skin.
After the baby went to sleep, the Queen snuck out and went searching for the unicorn she had once met, before she got pregnant.
The Queen watched the unicorn, and pet him,and all sorts of things, until the unicorn's eyes and horn started to glow!
"I bless you, Azalea Complex, for your love of animals and the kindness you offer to me," she heard, coming from the air around her in a cool, deep, all-knowing voice.
Soon, the unicorn disappeared. For nights and nights after that one, the Queen searched for the unicorn.
"Mister unicorn," the Queen said as she bowed real low, "Will you please join my home? There's me, my mom and husband and two kids, and my old dog and my horse and my cat."
"Azalea Complex, I know of your family," The unicorn's voice surrounded her again, "I have been watching you, I know all about your lovely friendships with your animals. I have been waiting for you to ask, and now I will join."
The Queen rode the unicorn home. He told her about himself, about how his name is her choice. She decided to call him Titan.

Yeah, Primrose, I love the name too. When My foal Primrose was born I just looked at the Hunger Games Book and I thought of it. Some of the name I reconize from a Mid Summer Night Dream and some from Greek Mythology.
ReplyDeleteThanks :) I had planned on naming this daughter one of 3 or 4 different names, and since I LOVE the Hunger Games, I decided to name her that. :) All the people born into the family are named after plants (Briar is a part of the rose. I learned that from one of my favorite books.) As for the animals, they're each named after someone or a group of people in Greek Mythology. (Titan is named after the Titans in general, because I thought it sounded cool, Cerebus was a dog in Greek Mythology, and the rest are more commonly known Greek gods and goddesses.) Again, thanks for commenting :)
