Willow Complex, Chapter 5
I'm sorry I haven't written in you for so long. Really, I am. But my life changed completely, and this time for the better.
Two years ago, Amber came over to my house. As soon as I opened the door, she swung in and kissed me. Grandma had just gotten home, and as soon as Amber kissed me, she walked out from behind the wall at the edge of the foyer and headed toward the kitchen, only glancing at us for a second.
"Well, it's about time you came out, Willow!" She said as thought it was nothing, as she walked to the kitchen.
Amber and I stared at her for a few moments, in shock. I don't know how I expected her to act, but I didn't expect her to be quite so...happy.
"What?" She asked when she realized we were staring, "I may be old, but I'm not quite senile yet."
From there, life got even better. We graduated a little after we turned 18 (our birthdays are within a week of each other). Lilac came home for the summer shortly after we graduated. She loved finally meeting Amber, and she was so happy that I was happy. She told me that she wanted us to get married, and I admited to her that I sort of wanted to, too!
We dated for 3 more months after that before Amber asked me to marry her, and of course I said yes!
The ceremony came quickly. We had very few guests, but it was a beautiful day, overall. Lilac was our maid of honor, and grandma gave me to Amber. Grandma whispered in my ear, right before I walked down to where Amber waited, "I love you, and you better know it."
When the ceremony was done, we took pictures and had a lovely reception with loads of cake. It was the wedding I had always dreamed off, albeit with more brides than I had imagined, and short a groom.
Have I told you how beautiful we all were? Lilac said that if she could see for one day, she would've wanted it to be that day. She says that Amber and I must have been the two most beautiful brides on the face of the earth that day.
Many tears and even more laughter later, we had our honeymoon. That, well, I'm not going to talk about that in this journal! (If any of you kids are reading this, please remember, we waited until AFTER we got married!)
The best wedding gift came when we got back. Grandma had contracted someone to build a house for us! The very day we got back, we got to help choose certain things in the house, such as bedrooms and floors and everything. It was perfect.
On top of the house, she also helped finance an invetro fertilization for me. I got fertilized only a few months ago, after we looked at adoption as well and started the adoption process.
Today is actually our first anniversary, and I have some amazing news. I am going to have to tell Amber and Grandma Prim that the construction workers are going to have to try to finish the house pretty soon.
Because, well, the invetro worked.
I'm pregnant!
