"I know!" I agreed whole-heartedly with Hannah. We had to write a stupid paper about Macbeth.
"Ugh, and this library smells like old dusty books," she complained more, "and it's so boring. And that painting sucks, and those plants are going to get bugs in them. I don't get why they have plants in a library!"
"Hannah!"
"Hmmm, bestie?" she said, adjusting the skirt of her cheerleader outfit.
"Let's concentrate on this stupid paper, and get out of here."
She leaned forward slightly and sighed of boredom.
"Can't we just buy it off of Ned?" She inspected her nails in boredom.
"Uh, no!" I rolled my eyes, though she couldn't see behind my glasses, "The last time I asked him for help, he told me that he wouldn't do it unless I screwed him!"
She was silent for a minute before mumbling, "Everyone's gotta make sacrifices."
"Hannah!" I screeched. There was no way I was going to screw Ned!!
She took a deep breath, "Oooh, forget Ned, look over there..."
I glanced over, then quickly turned back to the computer. Damn, he was hot, even with red hair!
He walked straight towards us, and pulled over the chair from the desk next to the one I was at.
I pretended not to notice him, while Hannah tried to flirt with him, just a bit.
"Soooo..." He said, stretching, "Bay, right?"
I nodded curtly, sure not to let him see my eyes.
When Hannah realized it was another guy there for me, and not her, she suddenly became a lot more interested in the paper.
He leaned forward and placed his arms on his knees.
Then, you'll never guess how creepy he was! Nameless hottie stood up and pretended to look at books on one of the shelves, and Willis stared at me! I was not going to date a guy that had more jewelry than me!
After an intense ten minutes of him roaming around the room trying to look like he had a reason to be there, he signed in frustration.
"Luke," he said, "I'm going. Nothing good to see here."
Hah! He thought that he had insulted me by saying that? I'm sexy and I know it, and one guy's lame insult isn't going to make me feel bad about myself.
Luke (damn, his name was kind of cute too!) waved over his shoulder as he followed Willis out. I'd like him, except for the fact that he hangs with Willis, of all people.
Shortly after they left, Hannah and I packed up and got ready to leave.
"I think we got a good head start today," Hannah said proudly while looking at her nails again.
"We got through like, a quarter of the play."
"Well, yeah, but that's still great, considering we had that distraction," she looked up from her perfectly manicured hand, "You're not like, gonna date him, right?"
"Willis? Hell no," I laughed at the idea as we walked out of the library.

When I got home and grabbed some cake for dinner, Linden commented, "You know that's not healthy. It's not a proper dinner."
"And waffles are?" I retorted.
He stayed quiet for a few moments before grumbling, "better than stupid cake."
Seriously, I have the weirdest little brother ever! After dinner, it was time for homework.
"I hate homework," I grumbled, having difficulties with one of the problems.
"I know, it's stupid. It's not even challenging," My stupid show-off brother commented.
He finished before me, and then went to celebrate his birthday, without cake! I was forced to watch him grow up for a little bit, but as soon as I could, I escaped to the living room to snuggle with my baby brother, Thistle. Linden went up to bed as soon as he grew up.
Thistle's a handsome little devil, he's got the same hair color, eye color, and skin tone as Mom. It's impossible to look at him and not smile, he's such a cheerful little boy!
After cuddling with him, I went upstairs to the nursery, where my baby sister would most likely be playing with her toys.
After attacking her with the tickle monster, I kissed her little blond head. She had the most gorgeous light blue eyes.
I put her in her crib, since Mom was in the bathroom, throwing up. She thinks she might be pregnant again.
I went to my bedroom and grabbed my pajamas from under my pillow. It sucked that Linden and I still shared a room, especially since he's a stuck up jerk who couldn't get a joke if it was thrown at him. I begged mom to make him sleep in the nursery, but she said and I both had equal rights to sleep through the night without being woken up by babies.
As I started to fall asleep, I thought of the day that Dad would get his big promotion, since that was the day that they would start construction of a third floor on the house! That floor would have my room, and another bedroom or two, plus a place to hang out!

Sorry for the formatting issues, my computer is being really screwy, and when I tried to fix them, it got all weird and started deleting whole lines...
Aww, I felt kind of bad for poor Willis. :( High school is so brutal. Cute chapter!
ReplyDeletethanks :) Willis is really unlucky. He's just...unloved. But there's a reason, I assure you. (I won't tell you the reason, but it exists!)
