Eden Complex, Chapter 3

Jason watched as I walked down the isle. He looked rather handsome, in his tuxedo, with the ocean waves rising and falling behind him, at the whim of my uncle. I wondered how many of them were watching. I knew my brother and sister were watching, but what about my lovers? Were they angry at me?

I blocked thoughts of the Devine Realm when I reached him.

"Eden, you are absolutely gorgeous," he whispered as he held me close.

"Thanks, you're not too bad yourself," I winked, and watched the ocean ripple, as though Uncle was laughing. My brother was just falling below the horizon, casting a gorgeous pink light on Jason and I.

Our vows were short, but beautiful. He hadn't told me before, but he was a poet, gifted by one of the muses. I was momentarily amazed at the beauty of what he said.

We kissed passionately under my sister's light.

That night, my new husband proved himself worthy of a goddess, over and over again.

The nights that followed, I treasured my little garden, thanking my aunt every day, for allowing it to exist.

I soon found that my father's favorite wife had blessed(or cursed, depending on your viewpoint) us with a child. I swore to myself, if she made my birth difficult, I would never forgive her when I got back to the Devine.

"Jason," I kissed him softly, "I think I'm pregnant."

He smiled, his gorgeous blue eyes as clear as Uncle's ocean, "Wow, that's great!"

Soon I was forced to change to a pregnancy dress. I chose one with roses; my favorite flower and one of the symbols that let the sims know I was around, back when I was in the devine.

I found some delicious produce in the garden, as well. I thanked the mother earth(one of my ancestors, coincidentally) for the fruit.

I was in the garden most of the time, during my pregnancy.

Among my plants, I went into labor. Father, I thought, I hope your wife makes this easy.

Jason and I went to the hospital for the birth of our first daughter. She was a gorgeous little girl, with little brown tufts of hair and strange pink eyes. I named her Bay.

"Oh, Bay," I whispered as I snuggled her close, "What does my father have planned for you?"
