Then, I woke up here. In this bed, in this little house that papa had found and decided would be mine. I am apparently this age called 'eighteen.' I have been around for eighteen Sim-years, apparently.
I only have this one outfit, much of a downgrade from what I had, with papa.
And my eyes, oh my eyes! They used to change colors, every time my emotion changed. Now, they're just yellow. I look like a cat!
I didn't know what to do. My stomach made this odd noise…I somehow knew I needed to eat. I left my home, looking around for something that I should eat.
I passed a park with a few different type of fruits, so I took them. No one seemed to mind. (Besides, what could they have done to stop me?)
I kept walking around town until my brother started lowering below the horizon and my sister came up on the other side(though, in this time, the Sims usually call it the sun and moon. Ridiculous!)
When I got home, I found a man waiting outside.
"Hello?"
He seemed to wake from a daydream when he heard me.
"Wow! Your eyes!"
"Excuse me," I looked away, staring at the grass that my aunt allowed to grow, "Why are you here?"
"Um…" it took him a moment to regain his composure, "You put a message in the paper? Looking for a roommate?"
I groaned, wonder why father had to damn me to this realm and he was messing with my life on this world? "There must be a mistake, I'm not looking for a roommate."
"Wait, are you Eden Complex?"
"Yes," I answered without pause.
"Then I can show you! Don't you remember!"
He pulled out a paper and shoved it in front of my face. On it, he had circled multiple ads. All but one was crossed out. That one read:
"Eden Complex looking for roommate. 1150 Cortex Lane."
I knew we were on Cortex Lane, and when I looked up, the numbers '1150' were on my home. I shoved it away and started walking inside.
"Look, I really need you!"
He spun me around and forced me to look in his eyes. He smiled a little bit.
"Everyone else has turned me down. I know you won't!"
I couldn't help but feel anger towards father, or whichever member of my family had decided to mess with my life even further.
"Alright."
"Thank you so much!"
He wrapped his arms around me, I awkwardly hugged him back. The wind brushed across my face and I scowled silently.
Stupid family.
"So…show me around?"
I let him in and told him that I really haven't looked around much. He looked around himself, and found my bedroom and one more, with a cheap little crib. He laughed when he found it. I, on the other hand, was mortified. My first day in this realm, and He expect me to flirt with this boy?!
Oh, Father…
Lol, I love that her father is messing with her like that.
ReplyDeleteAnd this line: "I look like a cat!" hilarious!!
lol thanks :D I'm glad you like it so far!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I'm glad my parents can't interfere in my life quite to that level! I love all the allusions to her family (sun, moon, wind). It's really creative.
ReplyDeleteKrissy- thanks! I'm glad you like the allusions to her family. I'm curious if anyone can name the gods and goddesses I refer to...
